Traffic Planning Consultants (TPC) has supported Summerset Villages Limited since 2011 in the development of several retirement villages across the North Island. Our role has involved providing traffic engineering and transport planning services at all stages of each project — from site selection through to resource consent and construction.

Our Approach

End-to-End Project Support TPC supported each Summerset project from the due diligence stage through to detailed design and construction. During site selection, we assessed access feasibility and surrounding network conditions to help identify suitable locations. Our team then provided input into the detailed design of access arrangements, circulation, and servicing layouts to ensure safe and functional vehicle movement.

Transport Assessment and Consent Engagement We prepared Integrated Transport Assessments (ITAs) to accompany resource consent applications, addressing the traffic effects of each development. Throughout the consent process, we worked closely with Local Authorities and Road Controlling Authorities, and when required, presented expert traffic evidence at Council and Environment Court hearings.
