The Challenge: Our client required a Traffic Management Plan/Corridor Access Request to be prepared to facilitate construction activities for a residential subdivision. The road controlling authority was requesting Temporary Traffic Management in the form of Detour Routes, Traffic Controllers during all work hours, and restrictions to time of day trucks could service the site.
Our Approach: We applied traffic engineering expertise to determine what appropriate Temporary Traffic Management and supplementary mitigation measures would be suitable to allow for the site to operate safely and efficiently at different stages of construction.
Outcome: The site was granted an approved Traffic Management Plan/Corridor Access Request without the need for Detour Routes or Traffic Controllers during all work hours, with no restrictions to the time of day trucks could service the site, resulting in savings of $20,000 to our client for this project.
