Takanini Village Town Centre

Our client wanted to develop a Town Centre at Takanini with approximately 13,000m² gross floor area (GFA) of a mixed-use development including retail activities, food and beverage activities and commercial office space.

TPC provided traffic engineering and transport planning expertise on the project including pedestrian connectivity; vehicle access and internal circulation configurations; traffic modelling using SIDRA; and the integration with public transport services within Takanini. We assessed intersection capacity and road improvement works required to cater for the level of traffic generated by the activities anticipated as part of the development.

Our project work included doing the detailed design for traffic signal controlled intersections and obtaining the necessary Engineering Plan Approvals from the Local Authority.
